We are looking for a skilled Digital Communications Director to take the lead in enhancing our organization’s digital media presence. Key Responsibilities

Spearhead the creation and implementation of the digital media strategy to boost growth and engagement across various platforms.
Collaborate with the Policy and Communications teams to develop compelling content that aligns with our organizational mission.
Formulate innovative strategies to influence online policy discussions.
Oversee the budget for paid digital advertising, promoting growth in followers and support for grassroots initiatives.
Write and manage a digital newsletter aimed at grassroots supporters.
Craft a strategy to expand the audience for a secondary newsletter directed at policymakers and AI advocates.
Maintain the organization's website and liaise with developers to enhance the online presence for associated initiatives.
Cultivate relationships with coalition partners through effective digital engagement.
Uphold the integrity of the organization's voice and reputation online.

Required Skills

Proven expertise in developing and executing digital media strategies.
Demonstrated experience in managing an organization's online presence.
Profound knowledge of public affairs or politics.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a diverse workload.
Strong organizational skills with the capability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Keen interest in AI and technology policy.
Familiarity with website management systems like WordPress, along with basic HTML and CSS skills.
Proficiency in graphic design for social media, web, and email graphics.

Qualifications

5-7 years of experience in digital campaigns, encompassing both creative design and management.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
Experience in leveraging social media analytics to enhance performance.
Ability to work independently while thinking creatively.

Compensation And Benefits

This full-time position is based in Washington, DC, with a flexible hybrid schedule (in-person Tuesday-Thursday, remote Monday and Friday). Relocation assistance may be available. The salary range for this role is $135,000-$150,000, commensurate with experience. Current benefits include:

85% of healthcare premiums covered for employees, partners, and dependents.
Paid time off and federal holidays.
Additional benefits, including a retirement plan, anticipated to roll out in early 2025.
